I could see that Heritage Lane is staffed from end to end with people that did a specific thing as opposed to one staff member who is responsible for a whole gamut of things.
Heritage Lane has a unique way of planning for meals and one of the reasons our community menus are often complimented. Diet is a key component to better mental health.
Food Council is held weekly prior the order and residents are invited to attend. Together, the menu is reviewed starting at breakfast, then lunch and dinner. We go through the entire week. Residents raise hands and request certain meals be served. By the raise of hands, a vote is taken and if more than 50% of the residents vote for that meal, it is scheduled on the menu.
This program ensures the food served is likely to please the entire community. If there are complaints about the food, residents are encouraged to attend food council.
We love to cook which is why we do not use pre-processed foods. We purchase foods raw because we believe it is healthier and it just tastes better!
Tours can be scheduled on weekdays or weekends and can be accommodated with little notice. We understand the urgency of trying to find an appropriate place to live.
